Garrett Sign Company prides itself most on the creative and talented staff that has chosen to commit their efforts to making this legacy continue for many generations to come.
Garrett Sign Company was founded in 1946 by Stan and Nancy Garrett in Vancouver Washington. The business began with Stan performing sign design and fabrication by himself, working long hours and taking personal pride in every signage project he produced.
He quickly developed a reputation for creating some of the finest signs in the Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR metro areas.
His wife Nancy, a public-school teacher, left her teaching position to become the bookkeeper. Their son, Paul, joined the company after graduating college and worked with his parents to build the business. Eventually they were able to hire additional personnel, which allowed them to meet the growing demand for their signage design, build and installation services.
Stan and Nancy retired in 1976 after developing Garrett Sign into a well-established company. They left the management of Garrett Sign Company to their son. Together with his wife Monica, Paul advanced the business until their retirement in 2004 when they sold Garrett Sign Company to Steve and Dana Taylor; and now together with their sons, is owned and operated by a third generation sign family.
Stan’s dream of creating his own sign shop turned into an American success story demonstrating that hard work, honesty and integrity will pay off. Maintaining these standards have enabled Garrett Sign Company to grow into a state of the art, 15,000 square foot, full-service sign manufacturing facility.
