The CNC Router has been a revolutionary addition for the sign industry. The machine consists of a horizontal table with a vacuum pump for holding down a variety of substrates (sheet materials) and a computerized router which cuts parts from the substrate. We can produce all kinds of precision parts, dimensional lettering and engraved surfaces as well as perform specialty applications like in-laid flooring or clear acrylic edge-lit signs.
The router takes its instruction from electronic vectored files that our designers create or ones supplied to us by the customer. We then export the file with a special program for setting the machine parameters like cut speed, bit revolution rate and material / cut depth. There are a variety of cutters (router bits) to choose from for achieving the desired result. After choosing the correct cutter, we run the file and cut the parts. When completed, the file is archived in the project folder so it can be reproduced at any time to the exact specifications.
By including our multi-cam CNC Router as part of the production process, we have been able to create a multitude of design options that could not be performed previously by hand.
